Minipack Steel
Since 1998, Minipack STEEL has been Minipack’s sheet metal fabrication department. This is where all the sheet metal components for Minipack machines are manufactured and assembled.
The department, which is 100% owned by Minipack, is located in Osio Sotto, just 5 km from the main headquarters. Equipped with top-tier systems, it meets the company’s manufacturing needs in accordance with our brand’s quality standards and specializes in sheet metal processing.
With its 2,000 sqm facility, 10 specialized operators, and nearly 300 tons of sheet metal processed every year, Minipack®-STEEL integrates the most state-of-the-art technologies for steel cutting, bending, and welding, with a specific focus on stainless steel.
The sheet metal facility is equipped with a highly efficient automated system capable of managing the entire fabrication process. The system autonomously retrieves the sheet metal plates from the automated warehouse, positions them with high precision inside the laser cutting machine for processing, and, once completed, unloads the machined parts to a predefined discharge point. This automated workflow ensures high productivity, minimized downtime, and the optimization of the entire manufacturing cycle.

Our departments
Cutting, bending, welding
The punching machine, also equipped with automatic loading and unloading, operates at full capacity to process sheet metal following programming and the assignment of the punch retrieved from the automatic tool magazine.
The cut sheets then move to the bending phase. The bending department includes three press brakes of varying tonnage and bed length.
The presses installed at minipack®-STEEL are equipped with a laser bending angle measurement system. Verification against the pre-programmed reference parameters guarantees high-quality processing.
Once processed and bent, the metal sheets are finally assembled in welding cells equipped with fume extraction and filtration systems. The welds, utilizing TIG or MIG technology, strictly comply with the drawing specifications and tolerances—parameters that are verified using ad-hoc jigs designed for each specific stage.
