Types of packaging

Packaging is a key aspect for the protection, preservation, and presentation of a product. There are different types of packaging, each designed to meet specific safety, logistics, and marketing requirements. The choice of the most suitable method depends on the type of product, the industry sector, and the conditions of transport and storage.

Wrapping

Wrapping involves covering the product with a layer of stretch film, providing protection against dust, moisture, and mechanical damage. It is widely used in the food industry.

Side seal

Side sealing involves sealing along the side of the package, providing a clean appearance without excess material. It is particularly suitable for products with a regular shape and allows efficient use of film, reducing waste.

Overlap

Overlap packaging means that the edges of the film overlap without a visible seal.

Sleeve wrapping

Bundling wrap wraps the product with an open film, forming a window. It is ideal for grouping multiple items or for large products, providing stability during transport and a neat presentation.

Vacuum

Vacuum packaging removes the air from the package before sealing, extending the shelf life of food products and preventing oxidation. It is an excellent choice for perishable foods and for maintaining freshness.
Vacuum technology is also frequently applied in non-food sectors to optimize space and improve efficiency in product transport and storage. By minimizing the packaging volume, vacuum packaging enables a more compact and organized management, promoting optimal space utilization and reducing logistics costs. This solution is particularly advantageous for items such as clothing, textiles, industrial components, and electronic devices, where preserving product quality while reducing bulk is essential.

Taping

Adhesive tape packaging is a simple and cost-effective solution for sealing boxes and parcels. It provides a secure closure and is suitable for a wide range of products, ensuring protection during transport.

Sealed plastic trays

Tray sealing involves using plastic trays sealed with a transparent film, ideal for fresh food products. It provides an attractive presentation, protection against contaminants, and facilitates handling.
